Battle Mountain High School (BMHS) is a four-year (9-12) comprehensive high school with an enrollment of approximately 950 students in a rural resort community in Eagle County, Colorado. This position is for a full-time Permanent Guest Teacher position. Preferred candidates would have experience and a passion working with, or a desire to learn effective and responsive instruction for an academically diverse population. When not covering classes due to teacher absence, our Permanent Guest Teacher is asked to help with office reception tasks and student supervision at lunch and in the mornings. This position is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Candidates who are willing to support in our after school academic program or extra-curricular offerings will receive strong consideration. Bilingual candidates will also receive strong consideration although it is not required for this position.

SALARY: $31,320 per year

 

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supports instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervises assigned students and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapts instruction to meet the learner needs of all students increasing the probability of advancing their achievement. Maintains positive inter-personal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
